HOW MOTORCYCLE GLOVES PROTECT THE RIDER’S HANDS
Motorcycle gloves must ensure rider safety. Historically, leather gloves are the ones that provide greater protection, but even fabric gloves are increasingly performing, especially when they include reinforced stitching in the corners.
MOTORCYCLE GLOVES PROTECT AGAINST SHOCKS
Shock protection elements are often the most visually visible. Synthetic protections with soft inserts help cushion the impact by distributing the shock wave over a larger surface and thus limiting injuries. These protections also improve hand movement, limiting the risk of wrist twisting under body weight. In carbon or plastic, rigid phalangial protection on the back of the hand often does not appeal to pilots. In fact, in case of a fall, the edge can be sharp and therefore some motorcyclists believe that they are more protected with a soft foam padding.

Chitone Motorcycle Gloves: Good Amazon Reviews
Customer 1
“Great quality, all the stitching is nice and the design is amazing. They have finger pads for using touchscreen phones or whatever, and they work pretty well. Slightly big, I normally wear medium and the fingers extend a bit farther past my hands than other gloves might, but it’s not a big issue at all. Shipping takes a bit, but it came from Germany to America, so what would you expect? They also provide great mobility and I can easily ride with them in cold weather. I would absolutely suggest these to anyone looking to ride even in the winter months cuz who wouldn’t?”
Customer 2
“I have ridden in temperatures ranging from 50 to 70 degrees with these gloves and found them to be comfortable and suitably warm in temperatures above 65. I don’t have heated grips, and I was hoping the rubber on the backs of the fingers would make riding in colder weather doable. Unfortunately, the rubber doesn’t go all the way to the tip of the fingers! Good purchase for less chilly temperatures.”
Customer 3
“Great value for the money. if you want hundred buck gloves, buy them. if you want fifty buck gloves, buy these. snug fit. Get them larger than you ordinarily would. perfect timing for Michigan fall bike weather.”
Customer 4
“The size is correct, a bit thick and hot, handling small things is difficult. But highly recommended.”
Customer 5
“For the money, you can’t beat these gloves. They are warm enough for 45 degree days…but your hands will sweat at about 65. Haven’t gotten them wet yet…good construction.”
Chitone Motorcycle Gloves: Bad Amazon Review
Customer 1
“As other reviews have said, these run VERY small. Order up at least one full size and maybe even two if you are sometimes on the fence. I take a size large in most gloves, but the XLs were too small to me, and I would need XXL. But I just decided to return them since they are pretty cheap in construction and probably not even worth the $14.00 that I spent. These are not terrible for the money, but there are better options and values out there for winter motorcycle gloves.”
Customer 2
“These are cheap gloves, so expect them to feel like cheap gloves. I didn’t read reviews and bought a large. Definitely would go a size up since these feel too small. It may be my sweaty hands but the liners in these gloves like to come out every time I pull a glove off, like the interior liner in the fingers will fold back and make it more difficult to put the glove back on later. They are also very poor for “winter” environments. More of a cool-weather glove. They are borderline unusable in temps under 40. Alas, I did buy these because they were cheap. I’m rating them based on the build quality, not on build and price combined.”

Question: Hows the sizing?
Answer: Extremely small! Get two sizes up. I wear medium and bought largely. Fingers are too short and the even palm is way tight. I could not even bend my fingers.
Question: Would these gloves be good for extremely cold weather, below freezing and into the teens?
Answer: That is a good question! We received notification that the gloves had been shipped but they must be on a slow boat from China because we have yet to receive them.
Question: Are they waterproof?
Answer: Not really. You could get away with a ten-minute ride in the rain but that’s about it.
