2017 BMW F 700 GS Description
The 2017 BMW F 700 GS improves the look even if it looks like what we already know. The new side panels are in aluminum color and plastics of different shapes in the ignition block area, which is also new. Everything is for a premium feel. The new ride-by-wire gas control, a new exhaust and two driving modes: Road and Rain are fascinating. There is also Enduro mode, but you need to have the Dynamic package which includes ASC traction control, ESA electronically controlled suspensions (acting only on hydraulics) and pneumatic pressure monitoring system.
If you want to buy it, choose the Comfort Pack package with center stand, heated knobs, onboard computer, which informs you about consumption, remaining autonomy and much more, and side case holders. But the price goes up. The only real flaw is the dome, so low it’s almost useless. The highest version is available among the original accessories.
The standard saddle is 790 mm high from the ground, but those who are low can order the lowered position at 765 mm. For the tallest, 820 mm above the ground. Everyone can use the 2017 BMW F 700 GS. Although its weight is not light, it is easy to drive, proving to be a real city animal.
The engine is a parallel twin cylinder from 75 HP to 7,000 rpm and 77 Nm at 5,500 rpm. As soon as the accelerator opens, the 2017 BMW F 700 GS is fluid in Road mode. Sweeter Rain and Enduro, but always with the same power. And vibrations don’t disturb too much, not even when you explore the second half of the rev counter. The traditional 41 mm fork with 41 mm diameter stems and the monoblocks (adjustable in pre-load with a handy knob) support well, at least until they fit into the entry-level optics. In fact, by acting on the handlebar button and changing the hydraulic calibration of the ESA suspension (you can choose between comfort, normal and sport), there are no noticeable differences. It also consumes little fuel.
