Yamaha TMAX 2017 – Yamaha presented the new TMAX 2017 at EICMA 2016. Valentino Rossi brought the new Yamaha TMAX 2017 on the stage during the great Yamaha’s party. Yamaha confirms the twin engine from 530 cc liquid-cooled and a CVT automatic transmission. The exhaust is more compact and inclined.
The TMAX 2017 has the new Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T). But it’s also the first Yamaha model with automatic transmission that adopts this technology. The TMax is equipped with a new Traction Control System (TCS).

At Eicma 2016, we have also seen the more sporty TMAX SX. It has two colors: Matt Silver, with blue wheels, or Liquid Darkness. A great innovation of the new TMAX SX is the D-MODE. So, it is an electronic control system with which you can adjust the mapping of the ECU. You can adapt the maxi scooter to different driving conditions. Pressing a sequential button on the right side of the handlebar, the rider can select the T-Mode, and so he/she can drive into the city. Or S-Mode and he/she has a performance driving.
Selecting the S-Mode, the riders can enjoy adrenaline sports performance and acceleration of the engine. In addition, the pilots of the Yamaha TMAX 2017 will be the first to use the My TMAX Connect app. Thanks to this app for smartphones, customers will have access to a rich set of data. They include the scooter site with the integrated GPS system.

Then, there’s the TMAX DX in Phantom Blue or Liquid Darkness. It offers greater levels of comfort. The TMAX DX has Cruise Control. So, it works with YCC-T to control air flows in intake and keep up the selected speed regardless of external factors. Cruise Control of TMAX DX operates over 50 km/h. The speed can be increased or decreased in steps of 2 km/h touching, or holding down, the left button on the handlebar.
In addition, there is an electronically adjustable windshield. Pressing a button on the left handlebar, you can lower it or raise it to 135 mm. If you want to warm up the knobs or saddle, you have a dedicated system.
