World’s Fastest Motorcycle is Ready For Another Record This Summer

World’s Fastest Motorcycle – The World’s Fastest Motorcycle is ready to make a new record in the Andes Mountains between August 3-8, 2017. The streamliner team wanted to make the record again for the past 3 years. But at the Bonneville Salt Flats, rain and poor salt conditions were not good for the attempt. The Bolivian desert is also longer and offers a better surface.

World’s Fastest Motorcycle tries it in Bolivia

In fact, the World’s Fastest Motorcycle team choices Bolivia. Because it has 16 miles more than Bonneville. The driver will be the Ack Attack pilot and three-time World Land Speed record holder Rocky Robinson. So, it has a run up safer. It is important. The acceleration must be very gradual to avoid a problem. Because of the streamliner’s wheel spin on driving are dangerous. So, the acceleration has to be very gradual to avoid awkward handling.

Frank Ryan

Instead, Frank Ryan, head of sales and marketing for TOP 1, Ack Attack’s sponsor would have preferred to make the record in Bonneville. Only Bolivia guarantees to find the optimal conditions to make the record. Those conditions just happen to be at 12,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains.

Salar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. It measures 4,086 miles (10,582 square kilometers) and it has an elevation of 11,995 feet (3,656 meters) above sea level. The higher altitude will play havoc with the fuel management. So, the harsh conditions will take their toll on the entire team. But Rocky Robinson says that the missions are two. To defend their record and to be the first motorcycle to break the 400 mph (643.7 km/h) speed barrier.

Ack Attack streamliner engines

The World’s Fastest Motorcycle Ack Attack streamliner has two Suzuki Hayabusa engines which are heavily modified to produce over 1,000 horsepower. This is sent to the rear wheel via dual Regina 530 ZRP Oring chains that are water cooled.
