VR46 Riders Academy – Next month, the “Doctor” will welcome to his Ranch a group of five Asian riders. Five young people selected from Yamaha. This is the first joint initiative after the agreement signed between the Japanese brand and the VR46 Riders Academy. So, the Alliance begins to materialize. In the days between July 4 and July 8, Valentino Rossi will instruct the five Asian riders selected by Yamaha.
The Asian boys have between 16 and 21 years and all come from the Asian Championship (ARRC). They will have five days of training. Especially, they will have Valentino Rossi as master. Age and ability are the criteria for the choice of the pilots, according to the statement released by Japanese brand. Also, the brand takes in consideration the performances in the Championship involving riding 250 cc motorcycles. The Master Camp will consist of a series of workouts at the Ranch of Valentino in Tavullia, Italy. Finally, they will run in Misano circuit. A great opportunity. Yamaha confirms with this initiative that the Japanese brand would grow its future champion in the VR46 Riders Academy. “This initiative is a great achievement. It’s just the first of many interesting projects of this new agreement. Yamaha and VR46 Riders Academy share a common goal. Helping young talent before it can blossom in motorcycling.” said Rossi.
Uccio manages the VR46 Riders Academy
The Ranch is about 1,600 meters of dirt track, surrounded by a protective “belt” of some hectare. It works for about four years. The Ranch is the official VR46 Riders Academy’s track. During the Moto GP World Championship season, the official opening is every Saturday. Obviously, when there isn’t the Moto GP’s race on the Sunday.
