Praise – After the handshake in Barcelona, Marc Marquez praised his rival. Valentino Rossi can fight for the 2016 world title after the victory in the 2016 Catalunya GP. Now, the Doctor is third in the Moto GP’s world standings, 22 points from Marquez, who has 125. “Since I run in Moto GP, this is the best time of Valentino.” says Spanish to German magazine SpeedWeek. “He has a great rhythm. We have to be careful, because he is at a very high level.“
Dani Pedrosa is more cautious about praise to Valentino Rossi. The Honda’s Spanish rider runs from time against Rossi and his view of the situation is different. “He is super. Especially considering that he finds the motivation every year. But when I ran against him in 2008 or in 2009 and he was fast every weekend. Now, it’s a little different. There are days when he’s faster, others where he is less so. However, this year he has already done a great deal.”
Not only the Rivals Praise Rossi
“I seem to be stronger than 2015. Although last year, I collected more points and more satisfaction.” Valentino Rossi is still loading for victory in Spain and he has positive feelings. “I’m in a good moment in my career.” says Valentino Rossi to German magazine SpeedWeek. “I love my bike. The Yamaha is very competitive. Michelin tires are very good. I grew up as a pilot with these tires and they are very familiar. Each race is more open this year. Harder to understand and perhaps less fun. Definitely more interesting.” Rossi remains cautious on who will win the 2016 world title. “I am at a level like Marquez and Lorenzo, but Pedrosa, Viñales and Iannone are very strong.” says Valentino. “The results depend a lot of different circuits. Sometimes our bike is better, sometimes the Honda is better. We still have 11 races before. It is important to continue working to get the most”.
