Pol Espargarò – The market drivers in Moto GP do not stop. After three changes announced (Lorenzo at Ducati, Vinales at Yamaha and Iannone at Suzuki) now the star of the “gossip” is Pol Espargaro. He is now in force to the satellite Yamaha team Tech 3. The Spaniard has three options: stay at Tech 3, go riding in the Ducati team Avintia or try to run in a new team, at its debut in the premier class.
According to the Spanish newspaper As, Pol Espargarò will take the last road. The pilot is very close to signing a contract with KTM, which in 2017 will face his first experience in the Moto GP. If so, he shouldn’t worry about who will be his new teammate. In fact, KTM has already hired Bradley Smith, Espargaró’s teammate in Tech3. The KTM’s Moto GP team performed important test at Misano in early May. “We solved a lot of small problems.” explained Mike Leitner, Pedrosa’s former Chief and Vice-President of the road racing project. “The team is growing in professionalism. Thanks to three sunny days, we arrived almost complete the testing program. Now things are much clearer, because the comments of pilots have gone in the same direction. Now it is just work hard to improve the package. Shortly we will try with the rest of the teams.”
Waiting for Pol Espargarò, Tests will go ahead
The KTM’s Moto GP Team will be back shortly to see the progress.
