Motegi MotoGP FP2 – “This morning had gone quite well. I was pretty strong. In the afternoon, we tried to solve some problems. Because I want to be faster. We tried the hard tyres, but they didn’t go well and I lost feeling.” said Rossi after Motegi MotoGP FP2.
Motegi MotoGP FP2, A hard time for Valentino
Valentino Rossi had a difficult first day in Motegi MotoGP FP2. “In the first half I had a hard time. Then, we put the soft and we improved lap times. But we’re not so far away from the others. However, I’m not happy with the setting of the bike. I make too much effort when braking. Here you brake with full force and it is important to have a bike that it’s able to stop. We also made some changes, but I didn’t like them. We hope to ride better tomorrow and Sunday.” added Rossi.
“I’m quite satisfied. It was a pretty good day. We improved the feelings than in the morning. The track was cold and there were so many falls. I managed to make a great ride with soft. The Michelin tires are a little too hard. I guess we’ll have to do a great job with what we have.” said Jorge Lorenzo, the fastest in Motegi MotoGP FP2.
Motegi MotoGP FP2, Not problem after the Fall
“The sensations are better than I expected.” said Marquez. “I thought we struggled a bit more, but right from the start I didn’t feel so bad and we managed to do a good job on the bike.” The Spaniard was the protagonist in the afternoon and he had a fall without consequences. “I was trying the hardest compound on the front and I tried to push a little harder. In the end, I managed to improve my lap time. I know that my opponents are quite strong here, but we’re not far away.”
