Lived with adrenaline getting into the body and the will to win always in the head. Jorge Lorenzo is the man of the moment. The reigning world champion and the favorite to win the 2016 Moto GP’s World Championship. Now he is on the top of the ranking ahead of Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi.
Lorenzo reveals all his secrets in the interview with Speedweek.com. “If you have talent, then you have two paths to follow. You may be pleased to be third, fourth, fifth or sixth, stay in business for many years, earn money and then go home. Or you can push the talent to work for high intensity every day. Eight hours a day in the gym, cycling and always wonder: ‘how can I be better?’ This is how I chose a long time ago. Sacrifice a great part of my life, to arrive at the best performance I can reach. I certainly have the opportunity to enjoy my life. However, my ambitions and my perfectionism don’t allow me to enjoy it fully. Because I expect the best out of me, for best results. This means that I don’t have much time.” adds Jorge Lorenzo.
Lorenzo: “The Success is also to have fun“
“Early in my career, I wasn’t celebrating after a win. Now, I am doing something in my camper, drink a few beers, listen to music and dance with the team. Apart from these moments I live as a Buddhist.” said Lorenzo. He’ll try to win in Catalunya, an important race for him and his team. It’s the Lorenzo’s “home” race and he loves this track. Finally, the Yamaha’s rider ends with a joke about Rossi. “The Ranch gives him the energy to continue in the Moto GP World Championship.“
