Johann Zarco – Johann Zarco debuts with the Suzuki Moto GP. Moto2 world champion tried the Japanese bike on a private test. The Frenchman, who is in Japan to prepare the 8 hours of Suzuka, confirmed the test during the turn of Le Mans. “It’s a good opportunity to test the Suzuki in Japan. Also, I will run the 8 hours Endurance in Suzuka. “I agreed because I’ve never driven this bike. The GSX-R street bike? I love it and I am very happy to take part in this event with Suzuki.” said Zarco.
“I hope to race with Suzuki in 2017 and to work with the team this summer to prove what I can do. With the Suzuki I will put to the test. This does not mean that I will have a place with them in MotoGP next year.” added Johann Zarco. Because, despite having an option with the Suzuki, the latest rumors suggest that Alex Rins will be the new teammate of Andrea Iannone on the GSX-r in 2017. Either, Zarco should instead run in Tech 3, although such an agreement may be terminated only after dissolving the Suzuki’s option.
Johann Zarco tries to win the 2016 Moto2 World Title

The reigning champion of the Ajo Motorsport Team cuts the finish line ahead of the Spaniard Alex Rins and Japanese Takaaki Nakagami. With this victory (the third of the season), Zarco is on course for the 2016 world title. The ranking is led by Rins, with 116 points, against 108 of Sam Lowes (sixth in Barcelona GP). 106 points for the reigning world champion. So, the market drivers in Moto GP is still open.
