Great Start – Great start for Ducati in Assen, the eighth race of the 2016 Moto GP World Championship. Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso are first and second in the Free Practice 1. Another good news is the fourth and fifth positions of the two satellite bikes. Scott Redding and Danilo Petrucci. In the middle of the two Ducati is Pol Espargaro. Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are in sixth and seventh place. Then, the Suzuki of Maverick Vinales. Not a good FP1 for Honda. Because Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa are in eleventh and thirteenth place.
Ducati riders are very confident. Before the Free Practice 1 Dovizioso said. “Right now we are competitive. However, we still lack something to come back and play in front of the podium. I think in Assen we will get better. Because the track has more tire grip and falling during the race should not be so pronounced as in Spain. Although, it is not one of my favorite tracks, but I’m confident of a good result.” said Dovizioso. “Making predictions before the race is always difficult. Since we don’t know yet how they will behave here Michelin tires that will lead.”
10/10 for style, @andreaiannone29.

Great Start could mean victory
In 2015, Iannone obtained an excellent result and today confirmed his feeling with the Dutch track. “On Monday after the race in Barcelona, we focused on working with new compounds that Michelin has brought.” said Iannone some days ago. “The tests were interesting. My feeling with the Desmosedici GP is good. In Holland, I won with Moto2 in 2010. Assen is a circuit I like very much, although in earlier years, it was a pretty tough track for Ducati.”
In the afternoon, there will be the FP2. We’ll see if Marquez, Rossi and Lorenzo will be able to see something better than in the morning. However the trio will certainly capable of putting on a show here at Assen.
