Press Conference – Forget Assen. Valentino Rossi arrives in Germany to forget the Dutch mistakes. “I stayed home to whip myself.” jokes the Doctor during the 2016 German GP press conference. “I made my personal Via Crucis. I could go a few days at the beach, but I had to stay focused. The disappointment was great. It lasted several days. I missed an opportunity. Now, the 2016 MotoGP World Championship is more difficult. This calendar has been a little unfortunate.”
Rossi thinks that the rain can change everything. “In the wet, I go fast. However, I hope it stays dry. It’s better. If it rains we try to be competitive.” Doing a comparison between Yamaha and Honda, Rossi said that “the two bikes are very different. With less grip, the Honda goes better than the Yamaha. In fast, with more grip, it’s the Yamaha to be better. I don’t think the Yamaha is better than Honda. We are on a par.”

Valentino Rossi is away, but not enough.
