BMW K 1600 B – 2016 Intermot closes. However, the first novelty comes soon. It’s the new BMW K 1600 B, a six cylinder bagger. K 1600 B is the ultimate expression of “Touring Grand American” concept. BMW K 1600 B, the Concept 101’s Descendant
The bike comes down from the “Concept 101”. BMW Motorrad presented it during the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Power, luxury, all with a “total black” look. The bagger is low, it has a drop-shaped silhouette and a drop of water inspired BMW Motorrad for the lines. So, the highest point is the front fairing. It has an elongated shape and tilted back. Everything connected with the lateral bags that incorporate the LED tail lights. New fully chrome-plated silencers run parallel to the road. The exhausts are new, fully chromed and that run parallel to the bike.
BMW K 1600 B fairing has a closely tailored dynamic windscreen. So, it makes the motorcycle look particularly powerful and impressive. Especially effective for wind and weather protection, the side sections of the wind deflectors are stretched further back. Two mirrors also match the design concept. They ensure a particularly good view of the following traffic. Thanks to the large mirror surface with an aspherical element.
BMW K 1600 B, Electronic suspension Dynamic ESA
The BMW K 1600 B combines riding comfort, stability, and dynamic performance. The German bike ensures an incomparable riding experience. It’s possible with the electronically controlled Dynamic ESA chassis. The ESA has two modes. “Road” and “Cruise”.
Damping adaptation is fully automated in the standard “Road” setting. So, it offers the very highest level of comfort. But also a good traction on virtually all surfaces. The K 1600 B offers very gentle damping in “Cruise”mode. So, it ensures a very high level of comfort at low speeds. As for the new K 1600 GT, even here, we reverse the handlebar and activate the System Assistant Pro to climb and climb to gear without using the clutch.
