Audi – Casey Stoner is back in Italy. The Australian rider is the guest of Nolan, its historic sponsors, to introduce the new helmet X-802 SuperHero. A company’s gift to Casey.
Casey Stoner talks a lot about Moto GP and the press questions are all for Ducati. The Australian confirms that won’t come back to race. Although everyone, including Nolan, would see this great Champion on the track. However, Stoner is categorical. “After tests in Austria, we will decide if and when to make the new tests. Meet Lorenzo at Valencia and I’m very curious to know what you think of the Ducati world champion.” said the Ducati’s rider.
Stoner will be not the coach of Lorenzo in Ducati. “What the papers write, it’s not true. I will not be the coach of Lorenzo. I will help him in the development of the bike. We want to win the 2017 Moto GP championship, but every day we must work hard for that. I don’t know if we will win the 2017 Title, but I’m sure we’ll be always more competitive.” Even without the winglets Stoner believes that Ducati would be competitive. “I am sure that we will find alternative solutions. Already in Misano I tried the bike without winglets. There aren’t big problems.” added Stoner.
Audi changed more things
What has changed in recent years? For Stoner, Audi can help Ducati to win the Moto GP world championship. “Once the bike that we had at the beginning of the season was the same also in the end of it. Now, with Audi if I have to make a change it is done now. Finance has changed a lot. This is vital to aspire to win a Moto GP World championship.” said Stoner. The Australian believes strongly in the power of Ducati and is sure that Lorenzo and Dovizioso will work very much for bringing up the Italian brand.
