2017 Suzuka 8 Hours – Valentino Rossi is a great driver. A legend of MotoGP. The Italian champion wants to win the 2016 world title. Although Marc Marquez really seems too strong for him and Jorge Lorenzo. Meanwhile, Rossi thinks already in a new challenge. He would run the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours.
Eric de Seynes, Chief Operating Officer of Yamaha Motor Europe, took part in the 39th Edition of Suzuka 8 Hours. He revealed the possibility that Valentino can run in 2017 Edition of Japanese race. “The 8 hours of Suzuka is a key race in the calendar Yamaha.” confessed Eric de Seynes. “We would like to have Valentino Rossi next year. It’s something we haven’t talked ever. It’s a project that may one day become feasible. It could be next year or at another time. I don’t know. However, I’m sure we’ll do that someday.”
2017 Suzuka 8 Hours: It will be the 40th Edition
Rossi’s participation would not only be the only special because of its presence in the race, but also because next year will take place the 40th Edition of Suzuka 8 Hours. Valentino isn’t deciding right now, but the Doctor seems very curious to race the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours. Yamaha won the 2016 and 2015 edition. So it is very competitive. Also, it can offer to Valentino Rossi the bike to win. He already knows the R1. So, he would not have adjustment problems. The nine-time world champion would be a star of the event. The Suzuka 8 Hours is a very felt in Japan. It is a big challenge for the Japanese brands. Everybody wants to beat the other. Everyone wants to win the legendary race.
Valentino Rossi has still two-year contract with Yamaha in MotoGP. So, until 2018 he can participate at Suzuka 8 Hours. Obviously it is not excluded that he could also take place at a later date.
