2017 Italian GP – “I’m not too bad, indeed I am getting better. I’m not at 100%. I can barely sleep, especially in the last two days. Fortunately, my conditions have improved a lot. I had an accident that caused me problems, especially in the chest. The fall was painful. Because I came out of the track of a meter, but luckily on the soft. I’ve been a day in the hospital. Because I struggled to breathe, but slowly I felt better. Yesterday I tried a motorcycle. I am optimistic about the improvement in my condition. It’s still Thursday. The important thing is to try to be better for Saturday.” said Valentino Rossi during the Press Conference of the 2017 Italian GP.

Valentino Rossi was optimistic after the doctors have granted eligibility to run the 2017 Italy GP. “I was lucky. Because the incident could exclude different races in this world. The doctors had told me I couldn’t have run here but luckily I’m alright. Tomorrow morning, I’m going to check my condition again. Here, in Italy, the atmosphere is special for me and even for all the Italian riders. There’s a single heat. We all know that we have to give our best because rooting for us is unique. So, I know how much my fans take to this race.”
The new Helmet
“It was a particular period, but I had time to do even a helmet for the 2017 Italian GP. It will be always particular and I am sure that the fans will love it,” added Valentino Rossi. “I looked again Le Mans GP. Until the mid of the last lap it was beautiful, almost perfect, but then I was wrong. Vinales was going very strong but would have struggled to get past me. I paid for that mistake. Because I would take home points, especially with a ranking of the championship so short.”
