F1 Singapore GP – A huge lizard debuts in the race coming on the track during the F1 Singapore GP’s FP3. And the fans go wild online. The big animal amazed Max Verstappen. Probably a Varano. When he crossed the road in front of his vehicle Red Bull, the pilot told his team: “There is a giant lizard on the runway. I’m not kidding.”
On the road you must always pay attention to animals that can suddenly cross. You have to have great care and moderate speed on deserted mountain roads. Especially at night when large animals come out to eat. However, these kind of “accident” do not happen on the track. For example, during the F1 Singapore GP’s FP3. However, the reality is that more than once we have seen the invasion of some animal.
After F1 Singapore GP’s Animal, Here is a list of “special meetings” in MotoGP
However, the F1 Singapore GP’s “accident” was not the first. The 2015 MotoGP World Championship was full of bizarre incidents with animals. Because any of these has come to a bad end, others, instead, have a good story. Here are the cases of animals in the wrong place at the wrong time during the MotoGP races.
Phillip Island Seagull 2015
Andrea Iannone hits a poor Seagull at Phillip Island. It was the first on the list. The bird was peaceful in a deserted area of asphalt. But within a second 24 bike at high speeds they attained. The scare was big, take-off slowly and sadly ended his days printed on Ducati’s Italian rider’s windshield, causing a large hole on the right side. The scene was undoubtedly spectacular. But we really regret for the end that made the bird.
The Tarantula of Termas de Rio Hondo 2015
In the GP of Argentina the threat came from below. Although in this case the only being in danger is the thrilling Tarantula that during practice he hazarded a runway. Perhaps he felt the danger and after a trail ride it decided to return on his steps.
Austin Dog 2015
In the 2015, it was another invasion of track, during the GP in Austin, Texas. It was a dog frightened and bewildered. Because it had no idea what was happening. It went in the middle of a practice session and the noisy motorcycles scared it. However, this story has a happy ending. The MotoGP’s crew stopped it and took it to the shelter. Where it was soon adopted by a new family who called it “Moto”.
The Seagull on the Isle of Man 2012
What could happen to a bird hit by a motorcycle at 270 km/h? Ask it to Ian Hutchinson. He hit a seagull during the 2012 Tourist Trophy, along one of the many Straights of the Isle of Man. Even then the Seagull was too slow and the rider’s body hit it. Although the considerable size of the animal, the seagull is not dead and Hutchinson wasn’t hurt. But it was taken to a specialized center who oversaw the fractures to the wings and a few months later put it back into the wild. Lucky.
The Malaysian snake 1998
Also in this case remained in history. During the Malaysian GP (who once ran in Pasir Gudang), a snake came into the track. But not the usual campaign’s snake, a cobra. The poor creature, visibly confused and frightened, went in the middle of a practice session. So, no way out for it. The first pilot goes over the tail and the second, Gino Borsoi, hit it with a knee. Poor cobra remained a symbol in the following years. Remembered by many as one of the most curious episodes of racing at the end of the century.
