Artisan production in limited edition with warranty and service of a brand with a lot of experience. The Black Douglas Motorcycle makes unmistakable the new Sterling Autocycle range. It has the minimalist and the elegant style typical of British-style of 20 years models. This is particularly evident in the 9-litre fuel tank made of aluminum and magnesium alloy sheets welded by hand.
The rigid frame which supports the bike has a tubular steel, double girder overlaps open crib. The electrical wiring is placed inside the handlebar and litter box in solid will act to keep total clean lines. The front suspension is of type Girder with a single hydraulic shock absorber. Components from solid Ergal builds it.
The Engines
Sterling Autocycle has a single cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled with 2-valve pushrod distribution, 5 gearboxes. 2017 Sterling range offers two engines. 125 cc capable of 15.0 Nm @ 5500 rpm of torque and 250 cc at 5500 rpm. Respectively 21.0 Nm @ 11.5 and 9.5 kW of power. Drum braking system with ABS system for 250 cc and 125 cc combined braking. Two motors can offer driving pleasure and feelings of nice vintage motorcycles. They work with the reliability of a modern single cylinder tested in dynamic tests and at the counter. Not secondary, low running and maintenance costs like consumption which stood higher than the 30 km/l.
