Honda CMX500 Rebel – Honda chose the catwalk of the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show to present its new CMX500 Rebel. The bike combines the custom style with the city bikes. I would compare the new Honda CMX500 Rebel to the gravy sauce, the classic accompaniment for the meat in Anglo-Saxon countries. With a redesigned look, comfortable saddle and relaxed riding position, the new Rebel aims to attract both centaurs purer than newbies. Especially thanks to the ease of driving.
Honda CMX500 Rebel: A motorcycle with personality
The new Honda CMX500 Rebel has a liquid-cooled parallel twin with 8 valves and 471 cc, derived from that of the CB500. The new CMX500 Rebel is available in two colors, Graphite Black and Mat Armored Silver Metallic. Why I compared the new Honda to gravy sauce? The gravy is an American sauce that traditionally accompanies the roast Turkey, the main dish cooked to celebrate the Thanksgiving.

The creamy texture and thick sauce help keep soft the roast, which otherwise it could be too dry. It is obtained from the cooking of the meat. So, it has all the flavors and juices released during the baking in the oven. So, the charme of tradition (like Thanksgiving) combined with important details (the gravy), characterize the new CMX 500 Rebel. A motorcycle with personality with which the Japanese Honda extends their offer of custom bikes.
Do you imagine the Turkey roast without the Gravy sauce?
Here we present two types of gravy sauce recipe. Very simple and quick to prepare and clearly useful in any time of the year, not just during the Thanksgiving day.
Red wine gravy (for 10 persons)
- 200 ml red wine
- 3 tablespoons of maizena
- 600 ml meat stock (Chicken, Turkey, red meat, pork)
- 200 ml of meat juice
How to do It?
1. Prepare the meat for lunch. Retrieve all the sauce by adding hot water if necessary to increase the dose.
2. In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of maizena with 3 tablespoons of red wine, until it gets creamy. Then add, stirring, all the remaining wine.
3. Pour the beef stock (fresh or prepared using the nuts) in a deep pan and place it over medium heat. Then, add the mixed with wine and mix thoroughly.
4. When it starts to get creamier, add the sauce by cooking the meat. Cook still stirring, then bring to the table as soon as possible.
Mustard’s gravy
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 200 ml white wine
- 600 ml meat stock (Chicken, Turkey, red meat, pork)
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of cream
- Butter
How to do it?
1. Prepare the meat for lunch. Retrieve all the sauce by adding hot water if necessary to increase the dose.
2. Put a little piece of butter in a deep pan. Melting and adding the flour, cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly, over medium heat.
3. Gradually add the wine, beef broth (fresh or prepared using the nuts), then add the meat sauce and stir cook for good.

It is very important to prepare the sauces before serving at table. Because otherwise they lose flavor and, if heated, even texture.
