The BMW HP4 Race has a racing engine, similar to the endurance and Superbike World Championship specifications 6.2 and 7.2. The maximum power output is 158 kW (215 hp) at 13,900 rpm. The maximum torque of 120 Nm is up to 10,000 rpm. Compared to the S 1000 RR engine, the maximum rotation is increased from 14,200 to 14,500 rpm.
