In the 20th race weekend of the 2017 MotoGP season Andrea Dovizioso, Franco Morbidelli and Joan Mir lead the standings of the three classes. The 2017 MotoGP season race weekend will be held at the 4.2-kilometre-long “Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.” Last year Dani Pedrosa won the MotoGP race at the “Gran Premio San Marino e Riviera di Rimini.” So, Valentino Rossi will miss his home race following a shin and fibula fracture in an enduro accident. His hometown Tavullia is only a few kilometers away from the circuit.
Gran Premio San Marino e Riviera di Rimini
The Misano Adriatico Circuit was built near Riccione in 1972. But it has undergone some modifications since then. Misano was a regular Grand Prix venue in the 1980s and early 1990s. So, it returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2007.
