Ducati XDiavel S, the evolution of a concept
The new Ducati XDiavel S is the ultimate expression of craftsmanship, attention to detail and attention to every detail. At the beginning of the XDiavel project, Ducati asked its Design Center a bike that was the evolution of the Diavel concept within the cruiser world. Low, long and with advanced footrests. At the same time, however, the bike should have been unmistakably a Ducati. The XDiavel X is just this. The cross between seemingly different and distant worlds. A synthesis where both are accomplished in a complete, uncompromising way.
A precious object
The Ducati XDiavel S is a precious object with a unique and unmistakable design, with high-quality content, in addition to precious materials. The peculiarity of this bike is the footpaths, one meter ahead of a Supersport like Panigale. But correctly in their place for this kind of bike. The S version also features the Daylight Running Light (DRL). It is a system for the front projector, with an extremely distinctive and unmistakable light profile. In addition, the XDiavel S has dedicated black wheels, wearing Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires. 120/70 ZR17 for the front and for the rear a huge 240/45 ZR17. The front fork is enhanced by DLC carrying on the Brembo Monobloc M50 stems and clamps for the front brake.
The whole engine, the well-known and praised Two-cylinder Testastretta, is characterized by an extremely cautious design. Thanks to the repositioning of the water pump inside the cylinder V, it has not the cooling pipe on the left side. The Ducati DVT 1262 is a completely new and Euro 4-certified engine, resembling a shiny black color. In particular, the folding straps are contrasting to the aluminum color of the machined mechanical machining. The engine increases in volume compared to Testastretta 1200. So, it is able to flow the full torque at low speeds. While at the same time fluid, it guarantees great performance when you completely open the gas.
The Riding Mode
Urban mode makes the bike more maneuverable, ensuring safety thanks to the reduced power of 100 horses. The Riding Mode Touring allows the engine to deliver all the 156 HP. But with a soft and usable power curve, which allows a comfortable and relaxed ride. Finally, for the most experienced, there is the Riding Mode Sport that offers fun, with the engine that emits all 156 horses angrier, with a quicker throttle response.
