The Ducati 1299 Superleggera is the ultimate expression of engineering, technology, and performance never mass produced by a brand. With the cornerstones of Ducati 1299 Superleggera “Style, Sophistication and Performance” reached a level never touched before. Frame and swingarm, completely made of carbon fiber, as well as extremely valuable wheels, are unique elements of the superbike. The fairing, also made of carbon fiber, is just the tip of the iceberg of a unique project that only a brand like Ducati with a DNA racing could accomplish.
SuperQuadro Engine
Carbon fiber under the dress is the most powerful version of SuperQuadro engine. Thanks to its 215 HP the desmodromic engine equips the 1299 EURO 4 Superleggera is the most powerful twin-cylinder series ever produced. So, it represents the maximum technological expression of Ducati. The new electronics package emphasized the 1299 Superleggera. It uses a six-axis inertial platform system (6 d IMU–Inertial Measurement Unit) to manage the electronic controls on this bike reaches a record level.
New Bosch ABS calibration Cornering
This system has allowed it to evolve the EVO Ducati Traction Control (DTC) with the Ducati Slide Control (DSC). It ensures even higher performances out of corners. The 1299 Superleggera is also the first to be fitted with Ducati Superbikes Ducati Power Launch (DPL), besides having the Engine Brake Control (EBC) already present in the previous versions. The performance gains the new Bosch ABS calibration Cornering that guarantees secure reference braking.
The Ducati 1299 Superleggera weighs 156 kg dry weight. The 1299 Superleggera is exclusive in everything, even in the number produced. They only 500 units produced. All already sold out. Together with it, the customers received the kit bike track which includes full Akrapovic titanium racing exhaust.
