Dorna and FIM have officially confirmed the dates for 2018 MotoGP World Championship. The season opener 2018 will retake a place in Qatar under flood light, due to the Formula 1 race in Australia one week earlier than 2017.
2018 MotoGP World Championship: Maybe Donington
Only the setting in England is questionable. The tendency is clear to Donington. Between Mugello and Barcelona, a free weekend will be pushed in. Thus an appointment collision with the Canada F1 race will be avoided. And as already reported yesterday the Dutch-TT is going to start with the race day on July 1st because two races within eight days should not become a habit. It is only a must for Brno and Spielberg – due to the short distance of around three to four hours driving time.
19 Grand Prix
For the first time, 19 Grand Prix will be held. The Chang International Circuit is added as GP venue. In the last three years, it has hosted one Superbike World Championship event each.
